The Battle of East-Loren - Turn 4

Dwarf - Turn 4

On the Dwarven right flank, the Troll Slayers continue to flee...

The Ironbreakers look stoically at their fellow mates being destroyed. They cannot help them because of the menacing Elven Lords that are already at charge distance.

...and two of them are slain by the pursuing Wardancers:

Although their arquebuses have been rendered useless by the magical rainfall, the Thunderers will try to prove they can also make decent fighters by charging the Wood Riders. As both units are skirmishers, the Wood Elf riders remain still and get ready to defend themselves.

Nearby, King Brokk Ironpike charges Glam's Wardancers:

On the Dwarven left flank, the Longbeards decide to cross the low wall protecting them to march on the arriving Wood Elf troops. Not sure it's a good idea...

Most of the Dwarven war machines and missile troops cannot fire at long range because of the rainfall, hence only the bolt thrower tries to hit one of the Archers units but this tentative is unsuccessful.

In his fight against Hazelfern, Skrag The Slaughterer - faster than the Treeman - inflicts two wounds to his opponent and kills him:

The Ogre Mercenaries are not so efficient. Their champion is killed by Filendil Ravencrest and the Shapechangers inflict one additional wound to the unit, while the Ogres miss their attacks.

Surrounded by Wardancers, King Brokk Ironpike tries to kill their leader. But thanks to his Parrying Blade, Glam remains safe.

Frustrated because they cannot use their favourite weapon anymore, the Thunderers kill one Wood Rider:

The Dust Storm kills one of the Bugman's Rangers:

Morgrim Tryggson, the bearer of the Grand Banner of Karak Norn, aims at the Glade Runners and the powerful artifact launches a Lighting Bolt that kills two Elves:

The Glade Runners are also victim of a Wind Blast spell cast by the other Dwarf Wizard: Flakki "Starfingers".

Then, Burlok "The Wise" casts Universal Confusion. All movements during the Elf turn will be halved.

Wood Elf - Turn 4

Hampered by the Universal Confusion spell, the Wood Elves remain pretty static. The only notable movement is the War Eagles flying over the Dwarven war machines...

... and firing at the Norse Dwarfs located on the other side of the hill. Sirwing Feathermoon uses a magical arrow - Hail of Doom - and hopes to kill a lot of them. But the Hail of Doom separates in only seven arrows and only one of them inflicts a wound:

The Archers aim at the Hammerers and kill one:

All other shots are ineffective, certainly due to the Universal Confusion spell affecting the shooters.

When flying over the flame cannon, Ralgaliel Shadowsong's war eagle kills the last crewman:

The Falconer Hero and the Shapechangers continue to kill the Ogres (three wounds indflicted) but this time one of the Shapechangers is also wounded.

Against all odds, the Thunderers are doing well against the Wood Riders: four (!) are killed in a row. The Elves miss their route test but the proximity with the Army Standard allows them to retry and this time it is successful.

Two additional Troll Slayers are slain by the pursuing wardancers:

Status quo in the fight between Glam's Wardancers and the Dwarf King: the Elves fail to wound Brokk Ironpike and the only hit on Glam is again parried thanks to his magical sword.

Skrag The Slaughterer is surrounded by many Elves but no one dare to attack him:

Skrag The Slaughterer: "Who's next ?! Come get some !!!"
During the magic phase, two additional Bugman's Rangers are killed by the Dust Storm.

Kroashk The Subtle casts Cause Panic on the Dwarf flame thrower that was dangerously close to Willowhusk the Treeman. The Zoat Wizard's spell makes the two crewmen flee:

Imraina Moonhand tries to cast Halllucinate on Skrag, her intention is to make the Ogre think is being charged by a Demon. But the Ogre chieftain's willpower resists easily.

The combats and missiles have caused many victims in both armies' ranks. This is a fierce battle and none can say who will be the winner.
